Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Machining) in Hawthorne, CA to drive design-to-manufacture integration across our aerospace hardware. You will own the interface between engineering and production, guiding new and existing hardware through manufacturing and integration activities for current and next-generation vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in design, development, manufacturing or test (internship and project team experience applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for design and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Analyze and disposition recurring manufacturing discrepancies with root cause analysis and corrective actions with quality.
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications.
• Communicate daily with production, machining, maintenance, quality, and design engineering to ensure on-time delivery of correct quantities.
• Lead projects for alternate component technologies to reduce cost or improve quality and reliability.
