Job summary

DwyerOmega is seeking an experienced hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will provide engineering support in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process optimization, machining, LEAN practices, and project management.

A strong hands-on approach and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential to drive improvements. The role requires a BS in Engineering or related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with knowledge of

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing function.
BS degree or equivalent in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience with assembly, machining, welding, brazing or soldering is a plus.
Hands‑on production experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Design, plan, procure, certify, and implement equipment and processes into production.
Partner with Lean/CI to improve output, reduce defects, and raise quality.
Develop standard work and processes to reduce cycle time and cost.
Support CNC programming/supervision to boost OEE and schedule attainment.
Own routings, work instructions, and process flow documentation.
Support New Product Introduction and Design Changes (ECN/ECR).
Create efficient production processes for custom configured products within lead time.
Review drawings and create SolidWorks drawings as needed.
Apply Lean manufacturing practices and maintain BOMs/Routings in ERP.
