Job summary

Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. in Shakopee, MN, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve processes, manufacturing capabilities, and reduce product costs through operational efficiency.

You will report to the Operations Manager and drive lean initiatives across the production floor to optimize cycles and quality. Responsibilities include tooling optimization, time studies, setup improvements, and collaboration with design to production for new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred; sciences with relevant experience acceptable.
• Minimum 4 years in manufacturing, assembly or operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations teams.
• Lead continuous improvement to improve quality, cycle times, and cost via lean/value engineering.
• Create/optimize routings and balance for assembly processes.
• Define and optimize tooling and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Develop value stream maps and logistical flows for manufacturing cells.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing procedures and equipment specs.
• Train workforce and ensure traceability for manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product introductions.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders in ERP and CAD systems.
