Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Minnesota is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, capabilities, and cost efficiency. You will report to the Operations Manager and work with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and sustained lean improvements.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in manufacturing or operations, strong analytical skills, and experience with Creo CAD, ERP systems, LabVIEW, and PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly or operations.
• Knowledge of Lean practices and 6S implementation.
• Experience with Creo CAD and ERP systems.
• Programming skills (LabVIEW and PLC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to the operational team.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, cycle times, cost reduction and process efficiency using lean methods.
• Eliminate routing and material variances impacting financial results.
• Perform time studies to optimize assembly routings and balance.
• Define and optimize manufacturing tooling and automated equipment.
• Ensure value stream mapping and logistical flows for manufacturing cells.
• Create and maintain work procedures and technical specs for equipment and tests.
• Train workforce and sustain competencies within manufacturing zones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on quality issues.
• Support new product introductions and smooth design-to-production transitions.
