Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machine shop operations/processes.
• Knowledge of LEAN methods used in manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of metal-cutting processes (punch, plasma, flame).
• Ability to collaborate and facilitate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates, and recommends improvements in manufacturing methods through new processes and modifications.
• Implements process improvements via time studies, process mapping, value-stream mapping, spaghetti mapping and workload balancing, through cross-functional team collaboration.
• Uses lean tools to reduce cycle-time, rework, scrap, inventory, and costs while improving safety and quality.
• Develops and maintains manufacturing process work instructions and assembly tooling.
• Prepares and presents technical information using Microsoft Office tools.
• Oversees transition of new product introductions from engineering to manufacturing, including capacity analysis and process validations.
• Follows company policies and safety rules at all times.
