Job summary

GCR Professional Services is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in the Kingston, NY area. You will work closely with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to optimize production capabilities and support assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing engineering experience in a production or assembly environment.
• Experience leading process improvement or manufacturing optimization projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods.
• Provide day to day engineering support to manufacturing and operations teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S principles.
• Conduct time studies and analyze workflows to improve labor utilization, production balancing, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
• Maintain ERP system data, including routings, engineering change orders, and nonconformance records.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, customers, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and production performance.
• Provide technical support and train production personnel on manufacturing processes, quality standards, and traceability requirements.
