Daifuku Co., Ltd. in Hobart, Indiana, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement and continuously improve manufacturing processes and equipment across the production floor.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and IT, apply Lean and TPM concepts, develop process controls, analyze data with SQL/Power BI, and mentor teams to achieve zero-defect, cost-effective production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, material handling preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and Lean concepts.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; team-oriented and collaborative.
• Learning completely new skills and taking on new challenges.

Responsabilités

• Develops, evaluates, improves, and documents manufacturing processes.
• Develops and implements process control procedures.
• Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually to improve quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
• Helps Production with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
• Gathers and analyzes manufacturing metrics and works with Quality and Manufacturing to define process changes.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean implementation to eliminate waste and reduce variations.
• Work hands-on and lead teams to drive operational profit through larger and more complex improvement projects.
• Ability to work with SQL and data visualization tools to communicate critical data.
• Develops manufacturing processes compatible with the entire value stream.
• Create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Works cross-functionally with scheduling, planning, manufacturing, engineering and IT.
• Develops processes applicable to statistical process control and DOE concepts.
