Job summary

Eaton's Lincoln, IL manufacturing facility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Residential & Wiring Devices lines, onsite, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will lead process improvements, support product development, train personnel, and participate in cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring safety and quality.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified US residents; salary range is $71,000 to $105,000 with eligibility for a variable incentive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, or work visa.

Responsibilities

• Recommends product design changes for improving performance, manufacturability and workflow.
• Assists development staff with new concepts; leads manufacturing portions of product development.
• Ensures safety reviews are completed for processes and equipment changes.
• Designs training aids and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes discrepant parts and uses 8D, PFMEA for root-ccauses.
• Establishes standard work, cycle time, takt time, and ergonomics.
• Performs special projects and investigations as directed.
• Participates in departmental layouts to improve floor space and flow.
• Participates in cost-reduction projects and capital equipment decisions.
• Fills in for supervisor during vacations and overtime.
• Supports Value Stream Teams to achieve business cases.
