Job summary

Doppelmayr USA, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead maintenance and process improvement programs across steel fabrication equipment, lean tooling, and capital projects.

You will plan, lead, and execute initiatives from concept through implementation, focusing on reliability, safety, and product quality. You will collaborate with design and production teams to drive manufacturability, optimize work flows, create SOPs, and mentor operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with lean, automation, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
• Six Sigma/Lean experience and proven problem-solving track record.
• Strong communication with production teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine processes applying Lean and maintenance excellence.
• Be SME in maintenance, procedure development, and cost analysis.
• Design solutions for machining, milling, turning; consult with suppliers.
• Improve safety and efficiency through layout, tooling, and training.
• Create SOPs capturing current processes with improvements.
• Design work cell layouts and optimize process flows.
• Support design for manufacturability with engineering teams.
• Provide on-demand manufacturing support for process issues.
• Address root causes from non-conformances with corrective actions.
