Job summary
True North Consultants is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Milwaukee to develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes on the production floor. You will bridge design engineering and production, supporting new product introductions and changes while maintaining capability, quality, cost, safety, and throughput targets.
Requirements include a BS in Engineering with 1–6 years of experience, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and CAD proficiency (Creo/Pro-E).
Qualifications
- BS Engineering required, 1–6 years in manufacturing engineering.
- GPA 3.0+ if under 3 years of experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.
- Experience with production line layout is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor.
- Develop Operation Method Standards for product assembly.
- Apply Lean concepts to reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot production line problems.
- Lead initiatives to mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance and reduce costs.
- Lead design initiatives in the manufacturing process including line/cell layout, tooling, and part flow.
- Justify capital equipment investments.
- Advance safety and ergonomic practices.
