Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer on 1st shift to support current operations and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing methods and processes.

You will develop and implement new processes, design tooling and machinery, and create production controls to meet cost and quality targets. Responsibilities include setting up new equipment, ensuring proper operation, and teaching others to use it, while applying sound economic methods to space and equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required with 1–3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of formal problem solving methods; experience with financial controls and product costing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint; internet software and e-mail required.

Responsibilities

  • Support current manufacturing and drive continuous improvement in plant processes.
  • Develop processes, tooling, and production controls for new products and programs; supervise their assembly and proofing.
  • Assist production to resolve manufacturing issues and lead Kaizen events.
