Job summary

RK Industries, LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes for modular power and data center product lines. You will work with Design and Manufacturing Engineering leadership on DFM/DFMA and ensure alignment between engineering docs and production execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering in modular, prefabricated, or electromechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Understanding of workstation design, assembly sequencing, and production flow.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for BOM management, routings, and production tracking.
• Experience supporting process development and documentation efforts.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFMA, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Experience reading and aligning shop drawings to production processes & requirements.
• Proficiency with CAD tools to support process layouts or tooling concepts.
• Attention to detail and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support collaboration with Design Engineering to address DFM/DFMA during product development.
• Develop, improve, and document assembly, integration, and test processes for modular products.
• Review shop drawings and build documentation to ensure alignment with layouts and sequencing.
• Support tooling, fixtures, jigs, and material-handling solutions for safety and consistency.
• Maintain manufacturing BOMs, routings, and workstation sequencing within the ERP system.
• Participate in lean initiatives, value stream mapping, and standard work development.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and records.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve FPY and cycle time.
• Support root cause investigations (5-Why, 8D) and corrective actions.
• Support pilot builds, engineering builds, and process validation activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
