Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field; manufacturing experience acceptable.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in production operations.
• Experience troubleshooting and applying root-cause methods to process issues.
• Experience creating/managing manufacturing processes and related documentation.
• Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to support decisions.
• Ability to work on the production floor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage priorities and communicate with operators, peers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Independently own manufacturing engineering activities for assigned production areas, including troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives like 5S, waste identification, process mapping, and problem solving.
• Partner with production teams to identify issues, capture knowledge, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Own and improve procedures, work instructions, standard work, and related documentation; manage changes.
• Generate and manage engineering work orders and tooling/equipment requests.
• Assist with design and qualification of tooling, fixtures, and processes.
• Collect, analyze, and report production data; apply statistics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations using 5 Why, fishbone, PFMEA, and DOE methods.
• Plan and execute engineering studies and pre-production builds; support readiness activities.
