Job summary

STARC Systems, Inc. in Brunswick, ME, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes that support safe, efficient, and scalable operations.

The role collaborates with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development and Maintenance to reduce costs, increase capacity, and enhance product quality, while solving problems on the floor and with data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial or related field.
• Minimum of five years manufacturing engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, assembly, automation, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and cost performance.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement via Lean and root-cause methods.
• Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, and process documentation; implement engineering changes.
• Optimize equipment utilization, labor efficiency, material flow, and process capability across operations.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities including process development, tooling, fixtures, and production trials.
