Job summary

Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement the processes used to assemble our automotive products. This role covers from initial project sourcing through SOP +90 days and supports engineering changes across current production.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage capital equipment, document procedures, and drive lean improvements to ensure efficient, scalable manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of assembly requirements for Automotive Component Systems (Body, Trim, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior).
• Minimum 7 years of experience; ideally 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement assigned projects.
• Develop and track capital investment budgets for projects.
• Interface with machining, automation and capital equipment vendors.
• Develop production processes and line layouts for new and changed products.
• Create SOPs, PFMEA, and work instructions for production.
• Support training for new equipment and process changes.
• Drive lean concepts (5S, Kanban, Visual Factory, TPM).
