Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Union experience preferred.
• AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience a plus.
• Experience with heavy machinery systems is highly sought.
• Strong communication, analytical and planning skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Improves methods and equipment operation to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Supports equipment installation initiatives, including some small project management.
• Troubleshoots and assists maintenance in extraordinary breakdowns.
• Provides technical assistance to production and maintenance supervision.
• Evaluates suggestions and work requests and follows through to completion.
• Conducts feasibility studies and works with Plant CI IE to improve operations.
• Maintains project controls including cost breakdowns and purchase orders.
• Updates management through concise status reports.
