Progressive Staffing LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers in a permanent, full-time role. The position is 100% in-office with travel to customer sites anticipated (5-10%).

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, 2+ years in leadership, and a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Experience with Lean, 5S, and process optimization is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• 2+ years’ in a leadership/supervisory role leading technical teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available.
• 100% in-office; relocation not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Manufacturing Engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Create and communicate performance expectations, priorities, and accountability measures to drive team success.
• Perform one-on-one meetings & performance evaluations to set goals and guide development.
• Strengthen team capabilities through development planning, cross-functional training, and increased responsibilities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement.
• Be accountable for Manufacturing Engineering performance across scrap, yield, OEE, downtime, process capability, and productivity.
• Collaborate with Operations leadership to align engineering with production goals.
• Lead process stabilization and improvements to ensure consistent manufacturing performance.
• Establish standard work and clear ownership across teams.
• Resolve process failures and defects with cross-functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Use data to prioritize issues and drive closure.
