Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Robotics Programmer/Weld Intern to assist our fabrication departments on the 1st shift. You will operate welding robots, program more efficient welds, and troubleshoot robot operations while gaining hands-on experience in welding technology.

The role requires pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming or related fields, with a background in fabrication being a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing either an associate or bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, engineering or a related field.
• Experience with fabrication is a standout qualification.
• Experience with offline programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate robots, train others, and observe robots in operation.
• Oversee operation of the robot and troubleshoot problems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing regarding robot programming and tooling.
• Assist with fixture design, development, and maintenance.
• Design welding programs to safely execute correct welds and improve operations.
