Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support daily production on the shop floor, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to improve safety, quality, and throughput. You will design and implement tooling and process changes and lead cost-reduction projects from ideation to implementation.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor involvement, development of new work instructions, and collaboration with operators to improve workflow and equipment layouts.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a B.S. in engineering or related field.
• Proficient with problem solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Develops routings, tool lists, fixtures, and process instructions for manufacturing equipment.
• Creates work instructions and standard work to document processes and flow.
• Drives waste reduction through lean/CBS methodologies.
• Addresses production stoppages using 5 whys and implements countermeasures.
