Broan-NuTone LLC in Hartford, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support day-to-day operations, project work, and process improvements onsite. The role targets students or early-career professionals eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and develop practical manufacturing skills.

Responsibilities include addressing manufacturability issues, developing autonomous maintenance docs, and supporting standard work and time‑study initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering degree, ideally Manufacturing, in a sophomore or junior year.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem solving and reasoning abilities.
• Able to interpret data and recommend improvements.
• Proficiency with CREO software.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Collaborative mindset to work with teammates, suppliers, and customers in a team setting.

Responsabilités

• Investigate manufacturability or equipment issues caused by design and variation; propose and validate mitigations.
• Develop and implement Autonomous Maintenance documentation for critical equipment including tasks, frequency, and safety.
• Assist ME with reviewing, developing, and implementing Standard Work (WI, Process Sheets, Checklists).
• Apply time-study methods (MOST, MTM) to analyze processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teammates to drive productivity improvements and cost savings.
