Job summary

Broan-NuTone seeks an Industrial Engineer Intern to support daily department activities, project work, and process improvements in a manufacturing setting. This role offers hands-on experience and exposure to real business projects while contributing to productivity and cost-saving initiatives.

Ideal candidates are engineering students (manufacturing/mechanical), junior or senior, with analytical skills, CREO proficiency, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Manufacturing or Mechanical), junior or senior.
• Proficient in CREO software.
• Strong communication in English (written and oral).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate manufacturability/equipment issues caused by design and variation; propose and validate solutions.
• Develop and implement Autonomous Maintenance documentation for critical automated equipment.
• Support in development and implementation of Standard Work (WI, Process Sheets, Checklists).
• Utilize time-study methodologies (MOST, MTM).
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements on factory/warehouse floor.
• Collaborate with engineering team to complete improvement projects.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, communication, or team effectiveness.
