3A Recruiting LLC is sourcing a Manufacturing Engineer for our California facility. The role emphasizes improving production efficiency, equipment reliability, and assembly workflow across injection molding and post-molding operations at two sites.

The position requires 5+ years in high-volume plastics manufacturing, robotics experience, and strong PFMEA/Lean skills. Travel and relocation may be involved in projects and line upgrades.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on manufacturing engineering in high-volume plastics
• Experience integrating robotics and automation systems (Fanuc/Yushin/Sepro/UR)
• Strong PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke)
• Cross-discipline engineering with mechanical, electrical, and robotic requirements
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor) for fixtures and work-cell design

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize work cells for secondary processing (ultrasonic welding, heat staking, packaging)
• Create robust error-proofing fixtures and assembly aids to improve quality
• Establish standard work instructions, SOPs and visual controls for operators
• Lead equipment integration projects from specs to FAT and installation
• Automate material handling, warehousing, and core manufacturing functions
• Drive lean initiatives, waste reduction, and line-balancing
