Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for the Savannah, GA area. The role focuses on liaisoning between Repair & Overhaul Operations, Engineering, Procurement and Supplier Quality to optimize landing gear manufacturing and repair processes.

Travel up to 50% to support R&O sites. The engineer will develop work instructions, MBOMs in SAP/Solumina/Corridor, and lead lean initiatives while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field; 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in leading process improvement projects across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical studies and analyze operations to improve production methods and efficiency.
• Create detailed work instructions to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
• Develop and validate make-or-buy proposals and evaluate vendors.
• Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate between orgs to implement changes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to manufacturing methods and monitor results.
