Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer III to lead manufacturing improvement initiatives and support production operations. This role focuses on process optimization, lean manufacturing, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring engineers while driving continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement and Kaizen events to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze production processes, labor standards, workflow, staffing, and operational data to improve efficiency.
  • Optimize facility layout, equipment utilization, and assembly/fabrication processes using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Develop work instructions, training checklists, and training matrices.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by improving manufacturability and defining production processes.
  • Define tooling and equipment requirements, obtain vendor quotes, and manage projects from implementation through employee training.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical leadership on larger engineering projects.
  • Serve in a leadership role on cross-functional initiatives and provide technical training as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of related manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements.
  • Preferred: SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, and MS Project.
