Job summary

Benchmark in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a senior manufacturing engineering leader to drive manufacturability from design through production, coordinating with Design, Procurement, Assembly, and Quality teams.

The role requires extensive experience in cross‑functional projects, ISO compliance, and IPC/WHMA standards, with a focus on lean initiatives and box‑build assemblies. Travel as needed to support global operations may be required.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years manufacturing engineering experience in complex technical projects.
  • 5+ years leading technical projects in cross-functional initiatives.
  • 3+ years in an engineering leadership or SME role.
  • 3+ years ISO compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards.
  • Experience with box‑build assemblies, wire harness, cable fabrication.
  • Lean Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.

  • Provide manufacturing assembly flow charts and floor layouts.
  • Conduct special manufacturing projects and lean initiatives.
  • Actively participate in lean projects such as 5S, TPM, VSM.

Job description

Summary

Provides technical manufacturing liaison required for production of high quality products from design through all phases of production, coordinating with Program Design, Procurement, Assembly, and Quality departments.

Shift: 1 (Monday‑Thursday 05:00‑15:30)

Compensation

$100,931.00 to $126,164.00 USD.
