Job summary

LHH's client in Lisle, IL is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements, boost productivity, and reduce costs across multiple facilities.

You will lead Lean and Six Sigma projects, optimize throughput, cut setup times, improve quality, and support automation initiatives, with periodic travel to sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 6+ years manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of project management in manufacturing.
  • Strong Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement background.
  • Experience with CNC machining, process optimization, and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and manufacturing systems.
  • Proficient with CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost savings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce setup times, minimize waste, and increase equipment reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Manage multiple engineering and process improvement projects with production, maintenance, and vendors.
  • Perform time studies and process evaluations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with plant standards.
  • Travel periodically between manufacturing facilities to support operations.

Our client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements, increase productivity, and reduce operational costs across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role will focus on optimizing equipment performance, improving workflow efficiency, reducing scrap, enhancing quality, and supporting automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost savings.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience with CNC machining, process optimization, and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software

Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000
