Jabil in Memphis, TN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and optimize production processes, ensuring quality and cost efficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve yield, and support new product introductions.

The role emphasizes knowledge of fastening, torque control, lean/Six Sigma methods, and proficiency with CAD tools to design fixtures and determine manufacturability. Occasional travel may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably high-volume.
• Strong background in assembly, testing, inspection processes.
• Experience troubleshooting fastening failures and torque-related defects.
• Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with SPC and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Resolve production issues in cross-functional teams and improve yield.
• Lead or support torque-controlled fastening processes and SME duties.
• Develop fixtures and tooling solutions aligned with design for manufacturability.
• Support installation, programming, validation, and troubleshooting of torque tools.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain process documentation and control plans.
• Evaluate equipment and oversee qualification and implementation.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Participate in NPI activities, including validation and ramp-up.
• Monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement; ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives as appropriate.
