Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to own and optimize manufacturing processes for critical metals production. You will drive improvements in throughput, quality, reliability and safety while scaling production systems.

This role demands practical problem-solving and hands-on engineering with new tooling and equipment. You will analyze data, lead trials, and help translate technologies into robust manufacturing methods and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Materials or related fields.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or equipment with root-cause actions.
• Experience designing or improving tooling, fixtures, mechanical systems or production processes.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; CAD experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear a respirator when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve manufacturing processes to boost throughput, reliability, quality, safety and cost.
• Design tooling, fixtures, equipment modifications and production solutions to improve manufacturability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for complex issues with corrective actions.
• Analyze production and equipment data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Translate new process technologies into robust manufacturing methods and documentation.
• Lead portions of equipment specification, installation, commissioning, qualification and ramp-up.
• Plan and execute engineering trials and process validation before full-scale implementation.
