Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support the new product pilot and high-volume manufacturing environments at the Fremont, CA site. You will oversee planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods while addressing technical and production challenges to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

You will contribute to releases of advanced dielectric etch, selective etch, and automation tools, partnering with manufacturing and product engineers to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting in electro/mechanical assemblies and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM/PDM tools and Design for Manufacturing.
• Experience with Engineering Change Management and BOM handling.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Design, develop, and implement safe, cost-effective equipment and assembly methods for all manufacturing phases.
• Define processes and methods for high-volume manufacturing including routing and sequencing.
• Perform virtual build and create sequence of assembly.
• Investigate root causes and propose corrective actions to reduce costs and improve quality.
