Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II at the Savannah Machinery Works (SMW) location. The role requires advanced engineering knowledge and experience delivering technical support to manufacturing and repair groups, taking technical responsibility for assigned component families to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 5+ years of experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
• Maintain knowledge base for Gas Turbine Sub-Assemblies, measurements, drawings, and standards, and service strategies.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering team with Nonconformance Dispositions.
• Implement and review templates, process sheets, and specifications.
• Implement Continuous Improvement projects.
• Review and approval of Technical Reports.
• Create and maintain Work Instructions.
• Ensure proper documentation in Assembly Area.
• Support process optimization, automation integration, and removal of non-value-added work.
• Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts.
• Validate product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements.
• Drawing interpretation and creation.
• Lift Plan interpretation and creation.
• Lift Fixture Design, and Lifting Equipment Inspection Requirements definition.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
