Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Engineer to provide on-floor support, maintain process instructions, and update routings in Solumina. You will drive cost improvements, investigate process failures, and implement corrective actions on non-conforming hardware.

Ideal candidates have a university degree with 2+ years of experience and are U.S. Persons. The role emphasizes manufacturing readiness across development activities and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting production issues.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support for the production floor.
• Maintain job instruction sheets to current requirements.
• Create and update routings in Solumina.
• Work non-conforming hardware through rework and RCCA activities.
• Design and order new/replacement tooling to support operations.
• Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down.
• Utilize data to characterize process failures using root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and implement improvement and automation projects.
• Drive all manufacturing readiness levels for all development activities.
