Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking an experienced Engineer to support design and development of new processes and equipment, scale-up for manufacturing, and ongoing process improvements. The role includes validating changes, drafting specifications, and ensuring regulatory alignment.

The candidate will collaborate with manufacturing and QA, lead validation efforts, and drive optimization using Lean methods while supporting calibration programs and process controls.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in an engineering position within a medical device manufacturing organization.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus.
• Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for scale-up and development of new products and processes.
• Lead feasibility, development trials, validation, and documentation for transfers to manufacturing.
• Manage equipment and process validations and prepare final reports.
• Drive continual improvement using Lean tools and monitor key metrics (yield, cycle time, takt time).
• Support QA and manufacturing with investigations (NCs, CAPAs, complaints, change control).
• Communicate project status and risks to management.
• Contribute to calibration/preventative maintenance and process controls.
