Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking an experienced engineer to provide design, development, and scale-up support for new products and processes in our US facilities.

The role emphasizes Lean Manufacturing, GMP/ISO compliance, and CAPA/NC investigations, with emphasis on transfer to manufacturing and process validation.

You will collaborate with QA and manufacturing, lead validations, and advance continuous improvement with CAD/PLC/electro-mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering is required.
• 6+ years in an engineering role within a medical device manufacturing organization.
• Lean Manufacturing principles knowledge.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
• GMP/ISO and FDA-regulated quality system experience.
• CAD, servo/PLC and electro-mechanical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Scale-up and develop new products and processes for transfer to manufacturing.
• Develop process methods, design equipment, and train teams for start-up.
• Lead equipment/process validations and report results.
• Apply Lean tools to improve yield, cycle time, takt time and inventory.
• Support manufacturing and QA to meet production requirements and investigate NCs/CAPAs.
• Prepare presentations to communicate project status and risks.
• Maintain calibration/preventive maintenance programs.
