ZF Gainesville, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to streamline assembly processes and drive continuous improvement in a US-based facility. You will work with SAP, AutoCAD, and CREO while collaborating with engineering, planning, and purchasing teams.

The role requires a Bachelors in Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong lean manufacturing knowledge and the ability to read blueprints using metric measurements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering.
• 3+ years experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and applications.
• Able to read blueprints and parts specs using the metric system.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conformance to standards records in SAP to ensure accurate labor rates.
• Maintain AutoCAD line layout files and use CREO for tooling designs.
• Support manufacturing with proactive problem solving and continuous improvements (DOE/8D).
• Provide cost studies for new products, equipment, tools and implementation strategies.
• Coordinate cost reduction efforts with Engineering, Assembly Planning and Purchasing; perform VA/VE.
• Analyze assembly line efficiency with time studies and introduce new methods to improve productivity.
• Develop lean process improvements to minimize cycle time and boost quality.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisors/Technicians to implement lean principles.
• Assist Product Engineer during prototypes.
• Solicit quotes for new equipment; justify financing/cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, control plans and FMEAs.
• Plan and set up assembly line modifications for new products; oversee tools procurement.
• Oversee design/procurement of assembly tools.
• Mentor Engineering Coop Students.
• Support 5S plant-wide activities.
• Understand ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Perform special projects as required.
