Job summary

The ZF Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the United States to drive manufacturability and efficiency across product development and production. You will collaborate with product engineering, develop and optimize routings, and lead capital-project business cases to improve throughput and quality.

Responsibilities include CNC machining processes, PLC programming with LabVIEW, troubleshooting drawings and design issues, and applying lean manufacturing and 8D/5 whys problem‑solving to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 5–7 years in a technical precision manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Mastercam
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with CNC machines
• Lean manufacturing knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proven experience in manufacturing technology or related field

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability of assembly and test specs
• Resolve issues in drawings, product design, manufacturing methods, and performance
• Work with new product and process teams to establish bills of materials, routings, labor and machinery times
• Develop end-of-line tests and PLC programs using LabVIEW and/or develop CNC processes using Mastercam
• Design test apparatuses including flow meters, transducers, and electrical components
• Lead business case development for capital investments to improve efficiency
• Participate in root cause analysis using 8D/lean six sigma/5 why analyses
