ACME Industries MFG, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role bridges Engineering and machine shop, owning the manufacturing process from RFQ through first article, production launch, and ongoing continuous improvement.

The candidate should have hands-on experience as a machinist‑turned‑engineer or a degreed engineer who has cut chips. Responsibilities include CNC programming (TopSolid, MasterCam), routing and fixturing design, and on‑the‑floor support during

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing engineer with ability to own end-to-end processes
• Experience integrating RFQ/NPI with production launches in aerospace/defense environments
• Familiarity with AS9100 documentation and traceability requirements

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end manufacturing process for complex castings and forgings
• Develop routing, tooling, fixturing, and setup documentation
• Program CNCs using CAM software and validate tool paths
• Lead first-article and production launch activities on the floor
• Drive CI projects to reduce cycle time and tooling cost
