Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking entry to senior level Manufacturing Engineers to join our team in Pontiac, Illinois. These roles support manufacturing and production operations with opportunities across 1st and 2nd shifts, including machining, CNC, assembly and test processes, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The selected candidates will collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and design teams to improve processes, review drawings, and implement APQP activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, assembly, or production environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing and production operations.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for quality, safety, productivity, and cost.
• Support machining, CNC, assembly, test, and automated processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and standard work.
• Review drawings, blueprints, and technical documents; support APQP activities.
• Analyze results to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support testing/validation of new processes; work with operators to improve processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues.
