Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support pilot, virtual, and high-volume production factories. You will oversee planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations, tackling technical and production challenges.

You’ll optimize manufacturing costs, improve product quality, and contribute to the release of next-generation dielectric etch and selective etch processes and related automation tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; 2+ years experience, or advanced degree with no experience.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective complex equipment and assembly methods for all manufacturing phases.
  • Define processes for high-volume manufacturing including routing and sequencing.
  • Perform virtual build and create sequence of assembly.
  • Investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions for operational problems.
