Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an entry-level to experienced candidate for an on-site Manufacturing Engineer II role in Sanford, NC. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within our organization and with our customers.

The role focuses on supporting production operations, implementing process improvements, and collaborating across manufacturing disciplines to enhance productivity, quality, and facility utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial engineering fields.
• 2+ years in manufacturing engineering or related experience.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Support production operations through process, equipment, and facility improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing challenges and implement effective solutions to improve performance.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate, specify, and implement production tooling and equipment.
• Support capital projects, new product introductions, and capacity expansion efforts.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for manufacturing investments and process changes.
• Optimize facility layouts, workflow, and space utilization.
• Provide hands‑on manufacturing floor support to validate processes and drive successful implementation of improvements.
