Applied Research Associates, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to support, build, optimize, and sustain production within the PMI Division in Madison, AL.

The role focuses on improving production processes, tooling with CAD, and clear work instructions to deliver efficient workflows that translate designs into products. The ideal candidate will govern process changes, develop CONOPs, and collaborate with Operations and Design Engineering to drive manufacturing excellence and maintain

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ years relevant work experience; OR Associate's Degree in Engineering and 8+ years relevant work experience; OR HS diploma and 10+ years experience as Manufacturing Engineer in a DoW manufacturing field

Responsabilidades

• Govern changes to manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment and documentation to maintain process stability and configuration control.
• Develop concept of operations (CONOPs) to define build sequence, workflow and optimize production.
• Create production flow diagrams, work instructions, FMEAs and control plans.
• Provide redline support to engineering drawings to resolve manufacturing discrepancies.
• Develop design and manufacturing guidance for jigs, fixtures, tooling and work aids to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve manufacturability issues with Operations and Design Engineering to implement robust solutions.
• Own and govern the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mbOM) and Bill of Process throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify operational metrics to reduce cost of goods sold (COGS) and improve efficiency.
