SAIC seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Middletown, RI to oversee the fabrication of electro‑mechanical systems and manage production processes. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, implement efficient workflows, and manage materials, tools, and equipment.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 5+ years of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Strong leadership and CAD/ERP proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least five years of experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Background in manufacturing process development (assembly, machining, testing).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for high-quality, cost-effective fabrication.
• Create and document SOPs and work instructions for electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability (DFM).
• Provide feedback during design reviews on materials, tolerances, and layouts.
• Lead manufacturing plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet timelines and cost targets.
• Oversee shop-floor personnel and ensure proper fabrication practices.
• Maintain documentation with traceability, inspection data, and test results.
• Design and procure tools, jigs, and fixtures for fabrication.
• Conduct inspections and functional testing at key stages and drive corrective actions.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvements.
