Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to monitor and improve established manufacturing processes and equipment. You will leverage data retrieval, analysis, and rigorous problem-solving to drive safety, cost reduction, quality, and output improvements.

You will work with development and production teams, document changes, and train operations on new processes. Requires a BS in engineering and 1–5 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis skills and experience with Excel pivot tables.
• Proficiency with Access for data retrieval and reporting.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and issues effectively.
• Directive and autonomous; able to prioritize decisions.
• Good communication skills across teams.
• Knowledge of JMP or Minitab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to maximize success of incoming manufacturing/products.
• Collect data for incoming products and compare against metrics.
• Perform trend analysis by equipment, attribute, and product.
• Recommend improvements to processes/equipment and drive robustness.
• Identify chronic issues and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for new manufacturing/products.
