Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II. You will develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to ensure cost-effective production of high-quality products.

This role focuses on optimizing methods, improving yields, leading lean and Six Sigma projects, and supporting new product introductions across cross-functional teams. Sunday–Tuesday with every other Wednesday 6pm–6am shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing engineering role in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, testing, and automation
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Experience with CAD for fixture and tooling design
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement
• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues
• Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel

Job Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and automation.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
