Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop, implement, and sustain efficient, cost-effective production processes at our Florence, KY facility (CVG code). You will drive yield improvements, support new product introductions, and collaborate across design, quality, and production teams.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with 3–5 years' experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and a solid foundation in Lean/Six Sigma methods. Safety and quality are top priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably high-volume.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly, testing, and automation.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD software for fixture and tooling design.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing methods, improving yields, and supporting new product introductions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Job Qualifications
