Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Union City, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to lead and improve assembly processes, new machines, and automation to boost safety, quality, uptime, and cost efficiency. You will troubleshoot issues, support start-ups, and guide process development with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include applying statistical planning, developing work instructions, and training operators on processes and machine operation to drive reliable production.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• 3–5 years of automation and machine design experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing process development and improvement.
• Experience with automation in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years with AutoCad and Inventor.
• Basic knowledge of ladder logic for PLC controls preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve process reliability to increase uptime and reduce cost.
• Start-up of new machines and automations.
• Troubleshooting of process issues.
• Update drawings with the design department.
• Resolve quality problems with QA.
• Project management and development of new assembly cell designs.
• Plan production times and related costs for management decisions.
• Train operators and assemblers on process and machine operation.
