Job summary

Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize manufacturing processes at our Phoenix facility. You will support equipment, processes and personnel to ensure reliable production of de-escalation devices and accessories.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, with experience in high-volume automated processes and strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledge of common manufacturing methods.
• Experience with high-volume automated processes.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to create clear, comprehensive documentation.
• Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis investigations.

Responsibilities

• Own development of manufacturing processes meeting cost, ergonomics, quality and cycle time targets.
• Provide prompt support to production lines for process/equipment needs.
• Research, design, modify and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Provide engineering guidance to technicians, trainers and production leads.
• Evaluate and select equipment, robotics, and automation technologies to meet targets.
• Partner with Quality, R&D, Product, and Automation teams to meet specs.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.
• Create and maintain documentation for all automation processes.
