Blue Canyon Technologies, RTX's small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is solving some of the toughest challenges in space. Position Purpose: The Manufacturing Engineer II will develop and implement manufacturing processes for the building, testing, and delivery of spacecrafts and spacecraft components.

Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

· Own production execution for a single Spacecraft or Component Product Line, responsible for meeting on time delivery.

· Provide hands-on support for manufacturing & test technicians.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for non-conforming product. Troubleshoot and investigate failures to determine root cause and corrective actions.

· Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions, focusing on standardizing across projects and products while streamlining workflow of hardware through needed work centers.

· Design fixturing and tooling to aide manufacturing.

· Understand in-house business systems including Configuration Data Management tools, Manufacturing Execution System, MRP, manufacturing shop floor control, and internal status reporting.

Required Qualifications/Education:

· BS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent discipline.

· 2+ years of experience in at least one core product area: Electronics, Mechanical/Machining, Optics, RF, or Spacecraft Integration.

· Proficiency with interpreting technical engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical documents including test and integration procedures.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills and an ability to lead group discussions with both internal and external customers.

· Related technical experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
