Johnson Controls in Albany, MO seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to design tools and processes for our AHU manufacturing operations. You will apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve workflow, lead Kaizen events, and partner with maintenance to boost equipment reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 1–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience and proficiency in Windows and Autodesk 2D. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a Windows operating environment including MS Office and Autodesk 2D.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs tools and/or machines for manufacture of company products.
• Develops processes, tooling, and production controls for new products; oversees assembly and proofing.
• Writes procedures for operation of equipment and processes; conducts time and labor studies.
• Leads Kaizen events and applies Lean and Six Sigma to drive process improvements.
• Collaborates with maintenance to improve equipment reliability and supports capital expenditure justifications.
