Job summary

Amphenol Network Solutions in Liberty Lake, WA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to improve assembly and test efficiencies, reduce costs, and influence product design early in development.

The role partners with Product Management, Operations, and Quality to drive Lean initiatives, DFx improvements, and shop-floor optimization, with opportunities to lead NPI projects and implement cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment involving sheet metal parts or components fabrication is required.
• Packaging experience is a plus.
• Optical Fiber experience is a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing/ 5S/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
• Small-scale Automation and/or Robotics experience is a plus.
• Strong Technical Writing skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Improve assembly and test efficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Provide sound engineering feedback early in the design process.
• Support daily needs of product assembly areas and Lean initiatives.
• Lead projects through New Product Introduction and DFx processes.
• Create and maintain manufacturing drawings and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain on issues and improvements.
