Job summary

Amphenol Network Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to improve assembly and test efficiencies, reduce costs, and influence product design with early engineering feedback. You will support daily manufacturing needs and apply Lean principles on the shop floor in Liberty Lake, WA.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, with opportunities to contribute to cost reductions and process improvements while working in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment.
• Packaging experience is a plus.
• Optical Fiber experience is a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing/ 5S/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
• Small-scale Automation and/or Robotics experience is a plus.
• Strong Technical Writing skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with production personnel to facilitate daily production objectives and Continuous Improvement.
• Using Lean Manufacturing Methodologies, collaborate with Product Management and Operations to determine optimum production processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Facilitate strategic product development by helping to lead projects through the New Product Introduction process.
• Coordinate the internalization of manufacturing documentation.
• Convert engineering designs into documents used by production groups to fabricate products.
